Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your information — written in plain language, with the full legal detail below.

Effective Date: June 25, 2026

Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Mahi Plumbing ("Mahi Plumbing," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit mahiplumbing.com (the "Website"), contact us, request an estimate, schedule service, or otherwise interact with us. Mahi Plumbing is a residential plumbing business based in Alvin, TX 77511 and serving single-family homeowners throughout Greater Houston. Our services are intended for residential customers and homeowners located in Texas; this Website is not directed to commercial customers or to individuals outside the United States.

By using the Website or contacting us, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Website or submit information to us.

Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Identifiers and contact information you provide — such as your name, phone number(s), email address, service or mailing address, and similar details you enter into a form, give us by phone or text, or share when booking.
  • Service details — information about your home and plumbing request, such as the issue you describe, photos you choose to send, appointment preferences, and notes about the work.
  • Communications and call information — the content of your messages, emails, chats, and text messages with us, and details about your phone calls (such as the number you called, the number that routed the call, the date, time, and duration). We use call-tracking technology to measure which ads and pages generate calls. Calls to or from Mahi Plumbing may be monitored or recorded for quality, training, scheduling, and recordkeeping purposes.
  • Booking and transaction information — appointment, work-order, and billing records relating to the services you request or receive. We do not collect or store full payment-card numbers on this Website; any card payment is handled by a third-party payment processor through its own secure systems.
  • Usage, device, and analytics data — information automatically collected when you use the Website, such as your IP address, device and browser type, operating system, referring/exit pages, the pages and links you view, and the dates and times of your visits. We collect this through cookies and similar technologies (see Cookies, Tracking and Your Choices).
  • Marketing and consent records — your preferences and any consents you give (for example, opting in to text messages), and records of those choices.

We do not seek to collect sensitive personal data (such as government-ID numbers, health, financial-account, biometric, or precise geolocation data) through this Website, and you should not send such information to us through web forms, text, or email. We do not knowingly process sensitive data for advertising and we do not sell sensitive personal data.

How We Collect Information

  • Directly from you — when you fill out a form, call or text us, request an estimate, book an appointment, leave a review, or otherwise communicate with us.
  • Automatically — through cookies, pixels, analytics tools, and call-tracking technology when you use the Website or call a tracked number.
  • From service providers — such as our website, hosting, scheduling, analytics, call-tracking, and communications vendors that help us operate (see How We Share Information).

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • respond to your inquiries, provide estimates, and communicate with you;
  • schedule, dispatch, perform, and follow up on plumbing services, including service reminders and post-job review requests;
  • process and document work orders, invoices, and payments (through our processor);
  • operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Website and our services;
  • measure the performance of our marketing (including which channels generate calls and leads) and, where permitted, send you offers and updates;
  • send text messages you have asked to receive (see Text Messaging);
  • maintain records, enforce our Terms of Service, prevent fraud and misuse, and protect our rights, your safety, and the safety of others; and
  • comply with our legal, tax, regulatory, and warranty obligations.

Cookies, Tracking and Your Choices

Like most websites, we use cookies and similar technologies (such as pixels, tags, and local storage) to make the Website work, remember your preferences, understand how the Website is used, and support our marketing. Cookies generally fall into these categories:

  • Strictly necessary — required for the Website to function and to keep it secure.
  • Performance and analytics — help us understand how visitors use the Website so we can improve it (for example, Google Analytics 4 via Google Tag Manager).
  • Functional — remember choices you make to personalize your experience.
  • Advertising — may be used to measure and improve our advertising and, where applicable, to deliver more relevant ads.

Your choices. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings; doing so may affect how the Website works. We honor recognized browser-based opt-out preference signals, including the Global Privacy Control (GPC), and treat a valid GPC signal as a request to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing"/targeted advertising for that browser or device, as required by applicable law. Because there is no common industry standard for "Do Not Track (DNT)" signals, we may not respond to DNT headers, but the GPC signal and the controls described in this Policy remain available to you.

Analytics and Advertising

We use Google Analytics 4, deployed through Google Tag Manager, to understand Website traffic and usage. Google may process this data as described in its own policies. You can opt out of Google Analytics across websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, and you can manage Google ad personalization in your Google Ad Settings.

We may also use advertising or conversion pixels (for example, from Google or social media platforms) to measure and improve our marketing. Where these tools constitute a "sale" or "sharing"/targeted advertising under applicable law, you can opt out using the methods in Cookies, Tracking and Your Choices and Your Privacy Rights, including by sending us a request or transmitting a Global Privacy Control signal.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only as described here, and only with the categories of service providers and recipients that help us run our business or that we are required or permitted by law to share with:

  • Website, hosting, and security providers that host and protect the Website and route your form submissions to us.
  • Scheduling and field-service / CRM providers (for example, Jobber) that help us book appointments, manage work orders, and send job-related and review-request messages.
  • Communications and messaging providers (including telephone, call-tracking, and SMS/text-messaging vendors) that help us receive calls, route tracked numbers, and send and receive messages.
  • Analytics and advertising providers (such as Google) that help us measure and improve the Website and our marketing.
  • Payment processors that securely process payments for services; we do not store your full card details.
  • Financing partners, if you choose to apply for financing, so they can evaluate and service your application under their own terms and privacy policies.
  • Professional advisors such as accountants, insurers, and attorneys, and government or law-enforcement authorities when required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
  • A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business, subject to this Policy.

We require our service providers to use the information we share only to perform services for us. Mobile information collected for text messaging — including phone numbers and opt-in consent — is never shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Service providers that help us deliver text messages may access this information only to send messages on our behalf.

Do We Sell or Share Your Personal Information?

We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not sell or share sensitive personal information. However, some privacy laws — including the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), and the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA) — define "sale" and "sharing"/"targeted advertising" broadly enough that the use of certain analytics or advertising cookies and pixels could be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, even when no money changes hands.

To the extent any of our analytics or advertising practices are treated as a "sale" or "sharing"/targeted advertising under applicable law, you have the right to opt out. You can do so by: (1) transmitting a Global Privacy Control signal through a supported browser or extension; (2) adjusting your cookie and browser settings; or (3) contacting us using the details in Your Privacy Rights and Contact Us. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal data for the purpose of inferring characteristics about you, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers we know to be under 16 years of age.

Your Privacy Choices

Your California Privacy Rights — Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

This section applies to California residents and supplements the rest of this Privacy Policy, under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA).

Categories of personal information we collect. Through this website, Mahi Plumbing collects: identifiers and internet activity collected by analytics tools (such as cookie identifiers, IP address, device/browser information, and pages viewed via Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager); contact information you submit through our forms (such as name, email address, phone number, and service details); and, where call tracking is in use, phone call metadata (such as the number dialed, caller ID, and call duration).

"Selling" and "sharing." We do not sell personal information for money. However, the use of third-party analytics and advertising cookies that support cross-context behavioral advertising may constitute "sharing" (and in some cases "selling") of personal information as those terms are defined by the CPRA.

Your rights. California residents have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (Cal. Civ. Code §1798.120, §1798.121 — including limiting use of sensitive personal information), the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose, the right to request deletion, the right to request correction of inaccurate personal information, and the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising any of these rights.

How to opt out of sale/sharing. You can opt out in either of two ways: (1) use the consent choice presented on this website (or the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the footer of every page, which brings you to this section), and decline non-essential cookies; or (2) enable the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser — this website honors GPC automatically as a valid opt-out of sale/sharing, with no further action required.

Contact. To exercise any of these rights — your right to know, delete, or correct under US state law — or to ask any question about this section, contact Mahi Plumbing at (832) 844-6244 or through our contact form. We will verify your request and respond within the timelines required by law.

Your Privacy Rights

Texas residents. To the extent the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act applies to us, Texas residents have the right to:

  • Confirm and access whether we are processing your personal data and obtain a copy of it;
  • Correct inaccuracies in your personal data;
  • Delete personal data we have collected about you;
  • Obtain a portable copy of personal data you provided to us, in a usable format; and
  • Opt out of the processing of your personal data for (a) targeted advertising, (b) the "sale" of personal data, or (c) certain profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

Other states. If you are a resident of another U.S. state that grants privacy rights (for example, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, or others as such laws take effect), you may have similar rights, such as the right to know/access, correct, delete, obtain a copy of, and opt out of the sale/sharing or targeted-advertising use of your personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We will honor the rights that apply to you under the law of your state.

How to exercise your rights. You (or an authorized agent acting on your behalf) may submit a request through our contact form or by calling (832) 844-6244. To protect your privacy, we will take steps to verify your identity before acting on your request, and we may ask for additional information to do so. We will respond within the time required by applicable law (under the TDPSA, generally within 45 days, with one permitted extension of up to 45 additional days where reasonably necessary). There is generally no charge for a verifiable request, though we may charge a reasonable fee or decline a request that is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded, as permitted by law.

Appeals. If we decline to act on your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or contacting us through our contact form with the word "Appeal" in your message. We will respond to your appeal within the time required by law (generally 60 days under the TDPSA). If your appeal is denied, Texas residents may contact the Texas Attorney General to submit a complaint at the Texas Attorney General's website.

Text Messaging (SMS)

Mahi Plumbing may communicate with you by text message (SMS/MMS) in two ways: (1) service and appointment messages and post-job review requests sent through our scheduling provider (Jobber) in connection with work you have requested or received; and (2) conversational and customer-care texts when you message our published business number or ask us to text you. Our text-messaging program is operated in accordance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and applicable carrier (A2P 10DLC) requirements.

SMS Consent and Terms. By providing your mobile number and opting in (for example, by checking a consent box on a form, texting us first, or asking us to text you), you give Mahi Plumbing your express consent to send you recurring service-related and, where you have agreed, promotional text messages at the number you provide, including messages sent using automated technology. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services. Message frequency varies based on your interactions with us. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to cancel and you will receive a one-time confirmation; reply HELP for help, or contact us at (832) 844-6244 or through our contact form. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. The mobile information you provide for text messaging — including your phone number and consent — is never shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing, and is used only to deliver the messages you have asked to receive. See how we handle this data throughout this Privacy Policy.

Children's Privacy

The Website and our services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where a higher age applies). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in violation of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us through our contact form and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

Data Retention

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy — for example, to provide and document services, maintain customer and warranty records, resolve disputes, and meet our legal, tax, accounting, and recordkeeping obligations. Retention periods vary by the type of information and the applicable legal requirements; when information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete, de-identify, or securely dispose of it.

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we hold against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You share information with us at your own risk, and you are responsible for keeping any credentials and devices you use secure. Please do not send sensitive information (such as financial-account or government-ID numbers) through web forms, text, or email.

Payment Security

This Website does not ask for and does not store payment card numbers, card security codes (CVV), or card expiration dates. Please do not type card numbers into any form on this Website, and do not send them to us by text or email. When you pay for completed work, a third-party payment processor handles the payment on its own secure systems, under its own terms and privacy policy. Mahi Plumbing does not see or keep your full card details. If any page on this Website ever appears to ask for card information directly, do not enter it and contact us right away so we can investigate.

The Website may contain links to, or embedded tools from, third parties — for example, online booking, maps, financing applications, payment processing, review platforms, and social media. We do not control those third parties, and their use of your information is governed by their own privacy policies and terms, not this Policy. We encourage you to review the privacy practices of any third-party site or service you use.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or the law. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date" at the top of this page, and material changes will become effective when posted. Your continued use of the Website after an update means you accept the revised Policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
